Legacy Elementary

The new Legacy Elementary School in St. George is a 60,000 square foot, two story elementary school near the heart of historic downtown St. George, Utah. It’s attractive exterior of colored tilt-up concrete panels, masonry, steel and glass has added to an already scenic area of this Southern Utah city.

This project is unique in that it’s the first two-story elementary school in the Washington County School District and is the culmination of a collaborative effort between the City of St. George, Dixie State University and the school district. Legacy Elementary is built on 5.6 acres where the former Elks Baseball Field was located. The baseball field was relocated to Bloomington on land owned by the school district and the former East Elementary School was acquired by Dixie State.

The school consists of classrooms, administrative offices, gymnasium/lunch room, kitchen facilities, as well as parking and playground area which includes two areas with playground equipment covered with a shade structure to protect the kids from the hot Southern Utah sun.
