Salt Lake School District Bus Canopies
The previous parking lot was demolished to make way for the 3 rows of steel bus canopies, equipped with solar panels/chargers, and a fuel station with an above ground fuel tank. Our team self-performed all of the concrete footings, foundations, columns, and paving for this project, as well as the all of the steel erection. The canopies cover 120 district buses, with 40 under each canopy. In total, 500 solar panels were included in the project, which help power and charge the zero-tailpipe-emission buses. These buses are the first of their kind in the state of Utah, allowing the district to retire some of their diesel-fueled buses.
